On December 6, 2012, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO) in the United States presented a $500,000 gift to the United Way Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund. The event was held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, where Dr. Pu-tsung King, Special Representative of TECRO presented a check to Stacey Stewart, U.S. President, United Way Worldwide and Sheena Wright, President of United Way of New York City.
